Editorial policy
The rules every GoalHub article follows — so you can judge our content on how it's made, not just what it says.
Authorship: no invented experts
Every byline on this site is one of three things:
- A real person, writing under their real name. Credentials (certifications, professional experience) appear only when they are real and verifiable.
- The GoalHub Team — our editorial byline for collaboratively produced pieces.
- A disclosed pen name — an editorial voice of the team, always labeled as such on the article and on the authors page. Pen names never claim credentials and never use photos posing as real humans.
We never fabricate authors, credentials, or testimonials. Composite examples in articles are labeled as composites.
Research and citations
- Claims about research link to primary sources— the study or journal itself, listed in each article's Sources section — not to someone else's summary of it.
- We report findings at their actual strength: sample sizes, ranges, and "suggests" vs. "proves" matter. A study on 96 people is described as a study on 96 people.
- A human verifies every citation — that it exists, says what we say it says, and is represented fairly — before publishing.
AI assistance
We use AI tools in drafting and editing, the way we use spellcheck and search. Every article is directed, fact-checked, and edited by a human before it is published, and the citation-verification rule above applies without exception. AI helps us write; it is never the author of record.
Health and fitness content
- Our health, fitness, nutrition, and sleep articles are informational — they report what research says and are not medical advice. They carry a disclaimer saying so.
- Individual, prescriptive health advice appears only under a real author's byline or with review by a credentialed professional, shown as "Reviewed by" on the article.
Updates and corrections
- Articles that are substantively revised show an "Updated" date.
- Found an error? Email hello@goalhub.ai — we correct mistakes promptly and transparently.
Independence
GoalHub articles exist to be genuinely useful on their own. We don't run third-party ads or sponsored content, and when an article relates to a goal you can pursue in GoalHub, we say so plainly in the signup section — never disguised as advice.
